Omega Level Powers

edit

Following from previous discussion on the Omega-Level Mutant page, the potential for Omega-level powers do not make the person an Omega. Similarly, if Chamber is the physical reincarnation of Apocalyse, it should be noted that Apocalypse has never been an Omega level mutant. Future edits should site Chamber powers as having the potential rather than being at Omega levels.

Well while apparently Chamber's status as an Omega Mutant has been confirmed, does anyon have any ideas about what he is actually able to do now? Did they just give him his powers back in a more controllable form. By the way, I always thought he was Omega level from the beginning. Elliot S! Maggin referred to him as such in at least one book Furthermore, his body was essentialy psionic energy, and when it was destroyed once he rebuilt it from scratch.--Wakefencer 13:32, 3 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

He was always intended to (potentially) be "one of the most powerful mutants to ever walk the earth" as I recall the quote from some publicity material went - see the first issue where his mutagenic aura fills an entire room. That got lost by the wayside with subsequent writers - occasionally hinted at but not much done with. If you really want to be precise about it he would have been an omega level mutant this entire time... he was just too depressed and self-conscious to explore that side of his powers. Chamber = Nemesis?

edit

Looking at Chambers Storyline, and putting it together with Holocaust, is it not a high possibility that these two might be one in the same? Holocause explains in the Age of Apocalypse that his prior role was as Nemesis, but was reconstructed due to damage done to him by Magneto for killing the Scarlet Witch. Given the nature of both Chamber and Holocausts powers, is it not possible that Holocaust is the future version of Chamber, the son of Apocalypse?

--I'm completely new to wiki and don't even know how to post unless it is anonymously...but I can tell you that Holocaust and Chamber are not one and the same. Chamber and Holocaust were separate characters in the Age of Apcolypse universe. Chamber was a member of Generation Next and died saving Illyana Rasputin. Holocaust escaped to the Marvel Universe, just as Dark Beast and X-man did.

Yeah, I was looking at just Chamber and not the whole Generation X roster when looking into this, so I failed to see he was already in AoA, a series in which I only followed a few key titles. In any event, what a better story line/twist it would have been to make chamber become holocaust. Their powers seemingly similar, the recent turn in Chambers story, I think it would have had great potential. Oh well, lets hope the real origin of Holocaust turns out to be great anyway. Your Chi is strong sir.

Runaways

edit

Would it be worthwhile to note that a character in Marvel's Runaways series portrayed Chamber through a holographic device for a short period of time? If so, I'd like to add it to the article. 71.219.87.96 08:59, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've added pictures to every secion of Chamber's life and updated his info as well as his age of apocalypse section. Ryonslaught 23:52, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

New Warriors

edit

Chamber is Decibel? Maybe, but he hasn't been named yet so it's just speculation for the time being. Please don't change this unless you have a solid source.58.105.55.39 06:16, 7 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Article title

edit

Why is the article titled "Jonothan Evan Starsmore"? Why isn't it "Chamber (comics)"? That is what he's better known as and pretty much every other comic book character is titled under their code name. Dismas|(talk) 15:48, 4 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Or at least call the article "Jonothon Evan Starsmore," since that is the correct spelling of his name. CrazyLuca 16:42, 11 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Did he change his name for the New Warriors series or something? That's probably why. 24.148.15.188 02:46, 12 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
Can someone change the title back to Chamber? That's what everyone still calls him. This new article title is ridiculous.Chamber44 (talk) 08:30, 30 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Agreed with CrazyLuca above. The character's name is spelled Jonothon, not Jonothan. The article title being "Jonothan.." etc is giving false information in the form of his name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.89.205.120 (talk) 03:25, 18 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Chamber O.JPG

Image:Chamber O.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
