I agree that Qamdo Region and Qamdo Prefecture would be the same word in Chinese (昌都地区). I had the impression that Qamdo Region had a different structure and role before it was incorporated into the TAR. If that's the case, it should be dabbed separately. If not, it seems like it is basically the same thing as Qamdo Prefecture, and so it shouldn't be mentioned at all. - Nat Krause(Talk!) 01:27, 11 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
