editWhy is he inthe category "politicians" whne he's not elected yet?Other dictionaries are better (talk) 14:53, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- You don't have to be elected to be a politician... On the other hand, you do have to be elected to be an MP. Hence he's classified as a politician (he's a political candidate, after all) but not in any category for MPs. StrPby (talk) 15:04, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- In the Singaporean definition yes. In international definition no.Other dictionaries are better (talk) 21:59, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- Perhaps, but the subject is a Singaporean, so I don't see any issue here. The category is for Singapore PAP politicians, not politicans in general. StrPby (talk) 22:58, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

- As a result, the infobox and the officeholder box at the bottom all note an "Assumed office" date of 21 May, which is when he will be sworn in. Strange Passerby (talk • cont) 10:56, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Category:Singapore military leaders
editStrange Passerby, the reason why I removed the category is that the subject of the article is no longer a military leader, though he may have been in the past. — Nearly Headless Nick {c} 08:56, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
