This is the worse sentence I have ever read in my entire life: "At different times and in different countries it has stood and stands for very various duties, and has been, and is, borne by officers of various degrees of dignity."--24.60.152.206 18:33, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

What about the person known as the Lord Chancellor in England? Isn't that person some sort of judge, and quite different from the chancellor of the exchequer? Michael Hardy 00:23 Apr 22, 2003 (UTC)

Opps. forgot about him. I've just added in the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster. The Lord Chancellor is the head of the judiciary, a cabinet minister and chairman of the House of Lords. ÉÍREman 00:44 Apr 22, 2003 (UTC)

"a largely ceremonial office that has been held since 184 by every Chief Justice of the Supreme Court." - 184 is obviously a typo but I don't know the correct year. Anyone? -- User:OlofE
