Michelle Chang (Tekken) → Michelle and Julia Chang – While the AfD for Julia Chang urged the article to be merged into here, with the development info being added to the page and looking over the sources, it has become increasingly clear that both subjects are intertwined, sharing a lot of notability but a clear line of design history with Julia being the similar but successor character to Michelle. The references in the reception section also tend to refer to both for purposes of examining the characters in the scope of Native American representation in gaming. I feel moving to a jointly-titled article would help reduce potential confusion and allow both subjects to be covered properly. Kung Fu Man (talk) 21:03, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- Comment why not do a double merge to Michelle and Julia Chang (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) as a new history start, with each source page preserving the history of the individual characters, so we can easily see the source contributions coming from each article? -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 05:05, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
- Support if the merge will happen. If the merge won't happen, move the page to Michelle Chang instead. 88.235.214.122 (talk) 05:17, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
- Support: Multiple sources link Michelle and Julia together like [1], [2], [3], [4] and especially this one, it provides a large amount of coverage discussing both characters within 3 pages. There are also more scholar works available that combine both characters together when discussing Native American heritage in video games, for example, this one.
