Bridgit Mendler

edit

There is a discussion at Bridgit Mendler about including the University of Southern California in the infobox's education parameter. It can be found at Talk:Bridgit Mendler#Education. Input from project members would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 03:55, 25 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

age limits?

edit

Pardon my pedantry, but does WikiProject Women limit itself to covering topics about adult women, or is it concerned with all ages? I ask re: this tagging of the article disappearance of Pauline Picard. Thanks, all, — Fourthords | =Λ= | 16:29, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Interesting. The category Category:Girls specifically says that it is not used for biographical articles, and although we have a category for Category:Women centenarians we do not have a corresponding category for Category:Women who died in childhood. I suppose the only notable ones are likely to be: victims of crime like this one, child actors/musicians/gymnasts who achieved notability and died before adulthood, princesses etc dying young and still deemed significant enough for an article.
But to reply to @Fourthords:, I would think that even a female toddler would come within the scope of this Wikiproject. "... and girls" can be assumed. But others may have other ideas! (And I've added this Pauline Picard to Picard (name) while looking into her.) PamD 19:05, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Edits to Sukhinder Singh Cassidy

edit

I've made a request for edits at Sukhinder Singh Cassidy that may interest members of WikiProject Women. The page is quite out of date so it would be great to bring it up to date. I'm an employee of Xero so I have a conflict of interest. Is anyone able to take a look please? Thank you JT at Xero (talk) 02:10, 26 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

@JT at Xero Please note that the image you suggest cannot be uploaded except by the owner of the copyright: Wikipedia does not use images copied from elsewhere on the internet without permission. See Wikipedia:Image use policy for more information. Thanks. PamD 07:37, 26 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, Xero owns the original of that image so I'll read up on the policy and resubmit. Thanks for the flag - I haven't dealt with images before JT at Xero (talk) 07:49, 26 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi @PamD just checking in if you could please make those requested updates on Sukhinder's page ? I'm working on the image but it would be great if the page could be brought up to date in the meantime? Thank you JT at Xero (talk) 04:32, 1 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Mariapaola D'Imperio

edit

Perhaps someone from WP:WOMEN could take a look at Mariapaola D'Imperio. The subject seems to meet WP:NACADEMIC, but the subject has also recently edited the article. The edits appear to be a good faith attempt to improve things, but it's probably better for them to be encouraged to use the article's talk page instead to request changes. -- Marchjuly (talk) 12:55, 29 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

On behalf of the University of California, San Diego, I have submitted a draft article about American epidemiologist Corinne Peek-Asa (red-linked in this list and at WikiProject Women in Red/Fellowships) as part of my work at Beutler Ink. Sharing a notice here in case any WikiProject Women participants are interested in taking a look. Thanks! Inkian Jason (talk) 17:30, 1 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
