Reference is made to "John Symes of Poundsford ". I am not aware (and not able to find) anywhere is Somerset currently of this name but am 99% sure this is now known as Poundisford Park, but I can find a source to prove it - can anyone help?— Rodtalk20:46, 18 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
Not sure on where to find a reliable source, but I think you're right Rod. According to this ancestry.com entry: [1], "Poundisford Park, owned by the Hill family passed into the hands of the Symes family on 28-5-1581" and "John SYMES b: ABT 1515 in of Barwick Manor, Poundisford, Somersetshire, England". "Poundsford" is stated given on the Historic England entry but maybe it is a spelling error? Ajsmith141 (talk) 21:52, 18 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
It may be a typo but occurs in many places so I think it has just changed its name slightly over the intervening years, therefore I have added the link.— Rodtalk07:37, 19 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
