Marcon died 7 February 1953; "The History of the University of Oxford" (vol. VI, Nineteenth-Century Oxford, part I), ed. M. G. Brock, M. C. Curthoys (1984) gives this year of death, which is corroborated by the death record of Charles A. Marcon registered at Oxford in the March quarter of 1953, his age noted to be 99 years. The probate record for Rev. Charles Abdy Marcon, d. 7 Feb. 1953, gives his address at 256, Iffley Road, Oxford, the same address as mentioned in the Times as his place of residence at the time of his Golden Wedding celebration in 1934. 78.144.76.135 (talk) 12:21, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
