Notability

The article says Charles was the son of a president, got a law degree, had a family and died of alcoholism. How is notability asserted? (Family ties don't apply,as a literal example of WP:INHERITED) Paulbrock (talk) 03:16, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Are you seriously doubting that multiple independent sources do not substantially discuss him? Give me a break. Don't use the notability tag in cases where it is inconceivable that notability cannot be established. Phil Sandifer (talk) 01:15, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

The sources should be added to the article then, preferably with a better description of WHY he is notable - what did he do? I'll leave the tag off for now, but "Of course he's notable" isn't a convincing argument. Even one of the links [1] admits "I hit some books dealing with John Adams and learned more.
