- Be sure to specify size or type of ship on first mention as a courtesy for the reader. You do it for some, but not all.
- Don't you mean captain? commander of a merchant vessel
- Link to HMS Defiance and Pert.
- How did he capture Le Hoche? Did he accept her surrender?
- What does this mean? He was superseded by an officer of HMS Canada, bearing Sir John B. Warren's broad pendant and this: being reported by Sir Alexander Cochrane
- Don't capitalize post-captain unless it's the rank/title of a person.
- Can you integrate the dates of his command of Franchise into the text?
- Not sure that his presiding over a court-martial is really notable.
- Spell out S.S.W.
- What does this mean and why are you using his first name, for practically the only time in the article? Charles died while at service
- This is awkward, rephrase: it appeared to be a neutral property,
- Fix the DAB to Baltic.
