Donnington 'near Telford' - anachronism pre 1960s
editI notice that the Donnington Central Ordnance Depot at the time of its set up in 1939-40 is described as being 'near Telford, Shropshire'. Telford - a New Town created in that name in 1968 - did not then exist. It would surely be more in keeping with chronology to describe it as being 'near Wellington, Shropshire', Wellington being the nearest large town. In any case Donnington was within the area of the then Wellington District Council which in turn has since become part of Telford and Wrekin Council.Cloptonson (talk) 20:31, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
