Copyright problem?
editI've just become aware that the text placed in this article by 155.38.158.128 on 10 Aug. 2007 is copied word-for-word from the No End in Sight official web site, http://www.noendinsightmovie.com/ - click on Director. I'm guessing that Charles H. Ferguson will not object, but what is Wikipedia policy on this? --RenniePet 17:31, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
It's a copyright violation and plagiarism, so it's definitely frowned upon.--Gloriamarie 05:02, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- If this has not already been removed or substantively rewritten, it should be as soon as practicable. As suggested in Wikipedia:Copyright violations, it provides grounds for lawsuits against Wikipedia. I'm personally concerned that Wikipedia could be sued if its editors (i.e., anyone who changes a Wikipedia article in any way or creates a new one) introduce copyrighted material into Wikipedia, whether inadvertently or intentionally. If we do not adequately police ourselves on this, it could potentially threaten Wikipedia's viability. I don't think that's likely, but I'm sure Wikipedia has enemies. Charles R. Morris
editCharles R. Morris was listed as a co-author of "Predator Nation". He is not so identified in the copy of the book in my possession, and I cannot find any other description of that book that suggests he write any part of it. I'm therefore removing him as a co-author. DavidMCEddy (talk) 21:08, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
