Hawtrey was the author of the farce, The Private Secretary, published in the U. S. by Samuel French in 1907 and popular in schools and little theaters as late as 1951, when I played the landlady (in drag; at 12, my voice had not yet changed).Jim Stinson (talk) 22:16, 12 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
