editHere are some of the references I have pulled together. 3 are online articles and I have put them into the form that I think they need to be in. Here they are: Karen Martin, Calligraphic Paintings by Charles Pearce at Laman Library, InArkansas.com, 2011, retrieved 12/14/2011. Susan Stern, Workshop Review, sdfconline.com, 2003, retrieved 12/14/2011. Ann Miller, Charles Pearce, annmiller-art.com, retrieved 12/1/2011.
The rest of the references I found are online web references to CP. Here are the urls: http://blackandwhiteconference.com/pages/charlespearce.html http://www.eurekaspringsartists.com/artistdetail.php?id=51 http://gulfcoastcalligraphyguild.wordpress.com/%E2%96%BAcharles-pearce-workshop%E2%97%84/ http://www.arkansasarts.org/programs/registry/detail.aspx?id=292 http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Charles-Pearce-Calligraphy-Store/133334260082082 http://custom-lettering.blogspot.com/2011/05/2nd-charles-pearce-workshop.html Karpata (talk) 00:46, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
- All right; let me try to get a couple of these in for the moment. The top three especially look to be good sources; I'm not too used to citing websites, but I suppose now is as good a time as any to learn. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 01:54, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
Question 1: Why can't I see the references you entered in the editing mode? I was going to see how you entered them and try to add some myself.
Question 2: I have a list of books that mention Charles Pearce's work. Where should I put these? Karpata (talk) 23:59, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
Question 3: One of the issues states "It may have been edited by a contributor who has a close connection with its subject." I designed Pearce's website and submitted this article and do some marketing work for him from time to time. Is this OK? Karpata (talk) 00:19, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
COI
editI added the COI tag in the first place, so I figured I'd answer your question #3 above…
As I see it, there are actually two separate questions here:
- Do you have a conflict of interest?
Based on WP policy, I'd guess that if you're doing marketing work for the subject, the answer is yes. The right place to ask, though, would be at the Conflict of interest/Noticeboard. - Has there been editing by anyone else with a conflict of interest?
Besides you, others who might be considered to have COI issues are User:Arkancharlie and User:Daniel.pearce—the subject and his son, I presume? I don't think there's any way in which those two, at least, wouldn't be considered to have an interest/close connection.
That's probably not what you wanted to hear, so if you want a more thorough review of the issue, please feel free to ask at the Conflict of interest/Noticeboard. Dori ☾Talk ⁘ Contribs☽ 01:20, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
OK, I added several additional website links last night to address "needs additional citations for verification" and they no longer appear. I am trying my best to provide additional information so this posting will fit your requirements but am not making any headway. What gives???? Karpata (talk) 00:07, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
