editWe have resubmitted this page and hopefully it is now in a more acceptable format than previously which led to its deletion. We hope that Charles Fraser's notability is shown primarily through his position as High Sheriff of West Sussex, but also through his high profile in many well-known organisations in West Sussex and throughout the UK. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Craigantaggart (talk • contribs) 12:27, 14 May 2008
- Who are you and what connection, if any, do you have to him ? Please change the article to conform to Wikipedia style, see Wikipedia:Your_first_article. -- John (Daytona2 · Talk · Contribs) 20:40, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
I know of Charles Fraser and am a supporter of his work as High Sheriff of West Sussex, in Polo, charity, and education in West Sussex and throughout the UK, and believe him to be notable because of it. The reference 'we' above is because I have sought reference material for the article direct from Mr Fraser's PA. Hope this clarifies it a little more. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Craigantaggart (talk • contribs) 10:43, 15 May 2008
- Thanks, the problem was that you appeared to have crashed onto Wikipedia with scant regard for the policies and guidelines. Whenever you participate in any kind of collective project it best to learn and respect the rules of the existing members. You can quickly get up to speed with Wikipedia by reading the Wikipedia:Five pillars and the WP:Manual of style. The various coding techniques you can quickly pick up by observing the edit code used for various effects by other editors in the articles. Having said this, the article is now much improved, thanks. Although there is a potential WP:Conflict of interest issue, I'm perfectly happy with the article content. There is no question of the subjects notability - I'm surprised that the article was initially deleted under the WP:Speedy deletion criteria. Cheers -- John (Daytona2 · Talk · Contribs) 16:12, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Many thanks for your comments and for accepting the article, and apologies for blundering along to begin with - even though this is my first article, you're quite right that I should have taken more time to understand the existing rules - will carry what I've learned over for any future articles. Thanks again. --Craigantaggart (talk) 16:45, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
user has recreated this article despite the fact that it was recently deleted. also clearly has coi. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.233.122.28 (talk) 13:09, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
- Sufficient notability has been achieved and the article was restored in good faith; user's involvement and coi is not considered to have had a detrimental impact on the content quality. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 13:15, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
