Birthdate
editThe original page (7 Sep 2005) had Reese's birthday as 19 Jan 1937. In support, it had a link to Reese Biography at King Features Syndicate. The Web Archive closest to that date (31 Jul 2005) also shows the date as the 19th. The page was changed on 9 Feb 2006 by an unknown user at 199.73.167.5 (currently assigned to Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Tallahassee, FL) who only had two other contributions and simply stating "fixed birthday" with no further supporting evidence. The King Features biography continued to show the 19th until its last non-404 capture Web Archive link on 25 Jul 2008, over two years from the Wikipedia change. I have not found any corroborating primary evidence of Mr. Reese's birthdate. There are many sites that mention the 29th but I suspect most if not all are quoting Wikipedia. Typos and Corrections to Main Article
editDiscussion:
Broken Link on Main page references.
Appologies in advance, as I am fairly new at Wiki Editing.
The Main Page has a broken link for reference # 11, [Referring to a personal webpage on dkweaver.com ] so I thought of two parts A) posting the correction if there is one, and B) retreiving the original material from the wayback machine on webpage changes.
This Paragraph is to establish consensus on the option available, and the community's thoughts on the matter.
[Using the BETa Wiki Tools]
Should the Original Article References be changed to reflect that the referring link is now obsolete, or the should the reference be left as-is and the New information be added?
These are the options that perhaps someone can enlighten a newbie editor with. Thanks,

External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Charley Reese. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
- Attempted to fix sourcing for http://www.kingfeatures.com/features/columns/creese/bioMaina.htm
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}
).
