These Choir articles need rewriting

edit

Check Talk:Circle Slide for a recap of why. This article is loaded with opinion, POV, and reads like the artist's own press release. wikipediatrix 04:27, 27 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Updated and expanded article

edit

Per the note above, it may have taken 15 years, but I am in the process of revising all the album entries for the Choir, removing POV language, adding relevant information with reliable sources and doing basic formatting and cleanup, and the current version of Chase the Kangaroo as of today is the result. This has involved a trip to the Los Angeles Central Library to collect much of the information listed in the Bibliography, as well as any available archived print versions of CCM Magazine. (Unfortunately, the library's print archives for this source only go back to the year 2000.) However, because this album was released pre-internet, there are a number of key reviews of this album that are simply not accessible on the Web or available in the Internet Archive. These are listed specifically at CMNexus.org: The Choir. Any assistance with securing and adding these reviews to the article would be most appreciated! Article length

edit

Because of the notability of this album and the critical praise it has received both at the time and retrospectively, I believe that a longer, more detailed article is warranted. Even so, I only focused on the most significant information. For example, I didn't go into detail on the lyrics of every song, but only focused on key tracks, particularly those that the band has considered important or especially praiseworthy. I also didn't go into unnecessary detail about the musical equipment that the band implemented throughout the album; instead, I primarily focused on "Sad Face," as that is generally considered the centerpiece of the record. Please feel free to provide your thoughts! TARDIS (talk) 01:03, 16 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
