2021 Updates

Alas, I never had the chance to update the Cherry Hill Inn and Lodge updates, as my mother lived in the former Cherry Hill Lodge, which in the `80's was converted to Cadbury residences for the elderly, the last two years of her life. However, for interested people, the Cherry Hill Historical Society has a room at the foot of the stairway to the basement, which is open a few days per week, with many of the items donated by my late mother; and by me after she sold the the family house at 311 Hialeah Drive and I cleaned it out, discovering even more Cherry Hill mementos.

Also, although I forgot to photograph it, I added the section on the 2017 Inauguration Day vandalism, as I e-mailed the news desk at Fox News to pass on to the producers of their evening talk shows; but they didn't cover it. Since Cherry Hill overwhelmingly voted for Hillary (including my late mother), it stayed on until at least March when I discovered it during a visit. I didn't complain to the Library director (I forget her name now), as I was hoping Fox News would cover it.

Damn, I wish I had my iPhone with me to catch a shot of it, which I would have gladly donated to the page.

Finally, the link to the 2009 Totem Pole sculpture article is now 404 when I went to fact-check it for accuracy, as it was originally on the floor-to-ceiling totem pole in the Malcolm Wells building. Discpad (talk) 00:01, 20 September 2021 (UTC)

2018 Update

Can someone from Wikipedia please explain the tag at the top of the article? My (now-late) mother Kathleen Schwartz, as the last surviving employee of the Ellisburg shopping center location (she also worked at the Malcolm Wells location) was the unofficial library historian, guided me on updating the page, proofing it for accuracy, as she was not HTML savvy.

By The Way, the $4,000 conference table in the Board room was a donation by my late mother, something I didn't find out until after her death when I donated the service plaque back to the library, commemorating her four decades as a Board member. The plaque is hanging in the Board room.

I am one of only four living people to be at both the 1965 and 2003 groundbreakings; and my mother, Kathleen Schwartz, is the senior member of the Board of Trustees, having been a member for over 37 years until she was asked to resign.

I'll be adding much over the next few weeks as I research our family photo archives for the Library, Garden State Park, The Latin Casino, the Cherry Hill Inn & Lodge, and the Rickshaw Inn. Discpad 00:56, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

@Savant13: The Cherry Hill Library is 6 miles east of the Liberty Bell.

Cherry Hill isn't in Pennsylvania, let alone Philadelphia. This article is incorectly categorized. --Savant13 22:38, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
