Talk:Cherry picking (disambiguation)

basketball and sex

edit

There is another use of cherry picking that is a side note to the basketball term. If there are a number of things to do and you do the easy ones first, you are cherry picking the easy ones. There might be a need for a more vulger term too. Sometimes when someone uses the term cherry picking someone might get offended by the term and ask for the other person not to use it. They are talking about cherry picking being short for putting it in a virgin hole related to a sexual reference and that is where the basketball term originated. Source and add to relevant articles if you wish, but not to a disambiguation page. (I titled this topic/section.) Nick Levinson (talk) 19:51, 30 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

propose to revert for the list item linking into the Wikipedia namespace

edit

I added a link (and also did minor edits) and the editing was reverted. I propose to re-revert, per a discussion on the same issue (given the latter's edit summary). In addition to examples there, more relevant here are link and category, which are disambiguation pages like this one, the former linking into the Wikipedia namespace and both linking into the Help namespace. I'll wait a week for any response. Nick Levinson (talk) 19:54, 30 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

You already started a discussion at Talk:Cherry picking (fallacy), so please keep it in one place. Keφr 19:57, 30 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
I was going to centralize by referencing the article talk but thought respondents might distinguish because this is a disambiguation page and the other isn't. Centralizing is fine with me.
