Chase family tree

Cornelius Crane Chase was born in the Lower Manhattan area of New York City on October 8, 1943.[5] He grew up in Woodstock, New York.[6] His father, Edward Tinsley "Ned" Chase (1919–2005),[7] was a Princeton-educated Manhattan book editor and magazine writer.[8] His mother, Cathalene Parker (née Browning; 1923–2005), was a concert pianist and librettist whose father, Rear Admiral Miles Browning, served as Admiral Raymond A. Spruance's Chief of Staff on the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CV-6) at the Battle of Midway in World War II. He has an older brother, Ned Jr.[9] Cathalene was adopted as a child by her stepfather, Cornelius Vanderbilt Crane, heir to The Crane Company, and took the name Catherine Crane.[10] Chase's paternal grandfather was artist and illustrator Edward Leigh Chase, and his great-uncle was painter and teacher Frank Swift Chase. His maternal grandmother, Cathalene, was an opera singer who performed several times at Carnegie Hall.[11]

This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, his mother was adopted by his stepfather, who took the name Catherine Crane, yet her name is given as Cathalene Parker (nee Browning)? Perusalad (talk) 00:38, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

"feud" with Bill Murray

Does that section really need to be there? Does a ten second incident merit a separate section, or be included in the article at all, 44 years later? Closedthursday (talk) 22:07, 22 August 2022 (UTC)

My guess is the incident lasted longer than "ten seconds" -- and the underlying feud that gave rise to it had probably been building up for quite some time. Whether it merits its own section is a valid question, but as for its inclusion, I for one am glad it's in the article: I didn't know about the incident, and now that I do know about it, I feel more informed about both actors. Therefore my preference would be to keep it in. Happy editing! Chillowack (talk) 01:06, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
