Fair use rationale for Image:Chickenwings1.jpg
editImage:Chickenwings1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

editThis article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it provides an insight into the fire side of aviation. I know literally hundreds of people who check this site during the summer. Especially firefighters families who lose contact with their loved ones while they are fighting wilderness fires----the pilots try to udate the families via this site.. 67.171.127.205 (talk) 17:47, 22 March 2012 (UTC)

editThis article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it is not just a web cartoon but has been published and has been printed in other areas. When I first heard about this cartoon, this was the first place I looked for information about it. — Bretwizer (talk) 23:28, 22 March 2012 (UTC)

editExisting in books and online, Chicken Wings is a valid source of aviation humour & information, linked to from many locations online. Chicken Wings has more followers & interest than many of the other items kept on Wikipedia. Falcon124 (Take that runway, and that, and that...) (talk) 12:30, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

editThis article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because <it is in refernce to a comic strip. Wikipedia has articles on Beetle Bailey, Dagwood Bumstead, etc ... why wouldn't Chicken Wings be included? Very large following not just in the aviation industry, but in the military as well. Fantastic comic artwork, and from a chuckle to an outright LOL humor>. — 166.20.224.10 (talk) 14:09, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
