May I ask why you deleted the "Walldorf cuisine" contribution?

Perhaps I missed some nettiquette to contact you in advance?

Kind regards. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DDIC (talkcontribs) 16:29, 8 February 2007.

  • Hi DDIC - I could find no other mention in my search (even using the reference you provided) to verify the information you provided. The Walldorf link goes to the article on the town in Germany, and it's not clear what that has to do with chicken feet "cuisine" or software. Do you have a more direct source to provide? WHY IS IT FENG ZHAO ISNT IT SUPPOSED TO BE FENG ZHUA —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.247.131.125 (talk) 00:21, 18 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

You are right, 鳳爪 is feng4 zhua3 (confirmed with CEDICT). -Frazzydee| 01:54, 2 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Both zhua and zhao are also found in the dictionary[1] but i don't see any consensus on which one is "more" correct. I spoke with a group of Chinese about this and the feedback made me more confusing. Some say "zhao" , some other go for "zhua", some say both are correct. Needs some help not just from a native Chinese speaker but a Chinese linguist. --Winstonlighter (talk) 05:51, 9 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Native Chinese speaker here. Feng Zhao is correct in regards to the food. The actual pronunciation is Zhua, but it's generally pronounced as Zhao in a euphemistic sense, to disassociate the food item with what it actually is. Much like how mountain oysters are testicles, and trotters are pigs feet...etc — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.247.9.167 (talk) 20:46, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
