Name of page
editShould the name of the page be "Chief Medical Officer (United Kingdom)" or "Chief Medical Officer, United Kingdom". Snowman 20:19, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Initiation of formal designation of CMO
editIf you think my source is reputable (http://www.ncl.ac.uk/library/specialcollections/services/exhibitions/root_and_branch/root_and_branch.pdf) then there is not clarity that William Duncan was CMO or that John Simon became CMO in 1855. I will add some history of the role unless there are objections. Ca3tki (talk) 09:03, 8 August 2012 (UTC)

Two questions
editWe are told that 'The equivalent US term is Surgeon General'. Why? We are told that 'the CMO is one of six chief professional officers who advise the government'. Who are the others? 31.52.254.82 (talk) 18:46, 17 March 2019 (UTC)
