Photograph
editHow about a photo of a beard that is real, rather than drawn?

Not Mennonites, Amish.
editMost Mennonite denominations have their men clean shaven. Amishmen, however, wear the chin curtain. They start to grow the beard as soon as they are married, but never before so. The mustache is shaven because of a long standing tradition. Namely, in Europe the mustache used to be associated with the military and the Amish are strict Pacifists.
Merge proposal
editThe discussion referenced in the merge proposal template (such as it is) was actually taking place at Talk:Shenandoah_(beard). There isn't very much discussion at all. I didn't place the discussion template, but I think this article needs a lot less examplefarming and both articles need better references before a logical judgement can be made regarding a merge. 12.233.147.42 (talk) 23:35, 17 March 2015 (UTC)
The contents of the Chin curtain page were merged into Shenandoah (beard) and it now redirects there. For the contribution history and old versions of the merged article please see its history. |
