This article originally was a redirect to Golden pheasant. Then @Dysmorodrepanis~enwiki changed it to say that "Chinese pheasant" could refer to other species. But the only species they added to the list is Common pheasant – and the article for that species doesn't mention this "fact." Without a source for the claim that this is a common usage, the page should revert to being a redirect. Isaac Rabinovitch (talk) 11:26, 20 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Upon closer examination of Common pheasant, I see that this species has a variety known as the "Chinese ring-necked pheasant." That's still not the same thing as saying "Chinese pheasant is another name for Common pheasant" but it does create enough ambiguity to justify a DAB page. Tnere's already Chinese Pheasant (disambiguation), which redirects here. If I don't get any feedback soon, I'll change that to a true DAB page and redirect this page there.
