anything in common with "chinato"?

edit

does the word have anything in common with the chinato in Barolo Chinato? "In the Piedmont region, old Barolo wine is used to make an after-dinner digestif known as Barolo Chinato. The bark from the South American cinchona tree is steeped in Barolo and then flavored with a variety of ingredients, depending on the producer's unique recipe. Some common ingredients of Barolo Chinato include cinnamon, coriander, iris flowers, mint and vanilla. The resulting beverage is very aromatic and smooth." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.56.36.162 (talk) 02:14, 26 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Why isn't this variant mentioned anywhere in the article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.161.203.4 (talk) 18:32, 18 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Quinine mention in article

Quinine is mentioned as an ingredient

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quinine

This is, ummmm, surprising and doesn’t have a reference.

Is it at all accurate? 49.186.147.93 (talk) 09:02, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
