DMX???

edit

where's he on the album?

I'm not sure this section even makes sense: The vulgar inferences led people to mix up Limp Bizkit with fellow nineties rockers Third Eye Blind. The mix-up was caused by the similarity when Third Eye Blind's lead singer, Stephen Jenkins, says the word 'bump' in 'Semi-Charmed Life,' sounding like the f-word.

Fair use rationale for Image:Limp Bizkit Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavored Water.jpg

edit

Image:Limp Bizkit Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavored Water.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:30, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect star rating for Allmusic review?

edit

If you click the link to the Allmusic Guide review, they give it two stars, not 4.5 as the stars next to the link indicate. Is this a mistake or has the review score been changed since it was first linked to? Eric Mushroom Wilson (talk) 20:06, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

18 million copies sold?

edit

I don't know where this figure is coming from. The RIAA website has this album as selling 6 million. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.240.42.138 (talk) 06:03, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Cleared Nine Inch Nails samples

edit

I read somewhere that Trent Reznor was angry because Durst had made allusions to NIN. Catch: I can't remember where. It may have been on Nine Inch Nails, but that's a long article and I don't want to read through it again. Can someone else look into it? I figure it's worth asking because this article is full of crap anyway. TheDefiniteArticle (talk) 14:02, 8 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I remember reading a French Rock magazine (Rock Sound) from late 2000 where Reznor said something along the lines of "Fred got angry about stuff I said about Bizkit and wrote a song dissing me, but he still had to ask me for sample clearance *laughs* I said yes, I wasn't gonna f*** up his album". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.125.217.132 (talk) 01:49, 4 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hot Dog Flavored Water

edit

The article states something about an inside joke by Wes Borland, where he 'invented' the hot dog flavored water. However, when i look in the urban dictionary, it defines HDFW as sperm: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hot%20dog%20flavored%20water Makes kind of sense for a band such as Limp Bizkit, an album named "anus & sperm"

I don't know whether I should change this, not sure if this urban dictionary is enough evidence... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.150.228.138 (talk) 14:36, 27 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I assumed the title was a joke about Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.200.129.246 (talk) 17:10, 30 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Also, is Cracked.com now considered an official source for... well, anything? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.57.96.8 (talk) 03:01, 3 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Singles

edit

Wouldn't it be potentially misleading to show My Generation as the first single, while Take a look around was releasd in July, 2000? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Drgreen19 (talkcontribs) 01:10, 11 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

'Hot Dog' fuck count

edit

Are you sure about there being 48 uses of the word 'fuck' in 'Hot Dog'? I seem to remember doing a count with a mate some years ago, and we seemed to find more than 48 uses of the word in the whole song. --220.236.52.135 (talk) 03:38, 7 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, correct myself. Just did another count, there's only 47. (Okay, now I'm getting pedantic.) --220.236.52.135 (talk) 03:42, 7 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Title

edit

Under "Music & Lyrics" it states "scatological reference" referring to Chocolate Starfish, referring to the human anus. Scatological, however, is defined as "relating to or characterized by an interest in excrement and excretion" (Google dictionary). Me thinks that someone is trying out their SAT vocabulary words, it's a real stretch. Recommend removing scatological. Cheers! FiggazWithAttitude (talk) 19:21, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your anus is a real stretch?
I couldn't help myself, you set yourself up for that one 4 years ago….
