move to Choi

edit

I suggest moving this to Choi, which currently redirects to Choe. While Choe IS the correct spelling in RR and MR, this spelling is very rarely used in surnames. For instance, the name Park is the main article even though RR is Bak and MR is Pak. Park is the preferred spelling for most people. Drunkasian 2005-07-30 19:00 (UTC)

kimchi choi?

edit

Is this a joke or genuine? I've never heard/read this before, and the fact that the person's first name is "Kimchi" and the general ridiculousness of the story makes me think this is a joke. Unless someone can point to a reputable source for the story I don't think it belongs on this page. Drunkasian 03:17, 28 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Chinese Chois

edit

Are there many ethnic Chinese people bearing this surname (崔)? Or is this just another case of confusion with Cai? -- Visviva 11:34, 13 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Etymology

edit

Is the etymology of the character correct? I always thought it was just the 山 radical combined with 隹 as a phonetic component. 24.13.236.35 22:44, 28 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
