The text of the entry "a kitsch contribution to the last vestiges of late 19th-century romanticized bohemianism" is, to me, a marvelous piece of elegant and witty writing. It, again to me, successfully emulates the style of a cynical opera critic without negating the appeal that such a work would find within the non-opera-going proletariat.
