Please edit the "Early Life" section to remove all references to Mortensen and Vietnam service. The linked reference contains no information that confirms or even discloses any relating to Vietnam.

Not done for now: - Chris himself has written about this, so I wouldn't remove it at this time. Some good references should be found and added to the paragraph though. --allthefoxes (Talk) 21:24, 11 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Under Personal, it mentions he announced he had cancer in 2015, should be 2016.

Original: On January 15th, 2015 anoucned he has Stage 4 throat cancer and will be stepping down

Should be: On January 15th, 2016 announced he has Stage 4 throat cancer and will be stepping down.

What caused his throat cancer?

edit

It says he got stage 4 throat cancer, but not what caused it. What caused it? Do they know? Did he smooke at any time during his life? Thanks in advance.Betathetapi545 (talk) 03:22, 26 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

According to reports, Chris had never been a smoker, so it seems that any challenges he faced with regard to his health had nothing to do with his own habits.Mar 4, 2024 172.56.28.45 (talk) 15:09, 29 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Domino's Controversy Section

edit

"On Dec 30, 2015 Mortensen and Adam Schefter were caught shilling for Dominos on twitter without revealing they had been paid to do so. Mortensen tweeted out "There’s nothing better on NYE than some football and @Dominos #HomeOnNYE". On the same day Schefter tweeted "NYE means college football and @Dominos pizaa. The tweets violated both basic journalistic standards as well as FTC regulations. [6] "

Quite a biased and impartial prose in "caught shilling" and "violated basic journalistic standards". Although opinions that most would probably agree to the idea of, is nonetheless an impartial interjection by the editor's behalf — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.148.153.76 (talk) 00:00, 15 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

I request that his years active as a reporter be changed. It is incorrect he did not start reporting for ESPN in 1994, he instead started in 1991 and he retired in 2023 not 2024. Hudbud2011 (talk) 02:05, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Done - this is verified from the existing article text and citations. Not sure where 1994 came from, thanks for pointing this out. Jamedeus (talk) 02:17, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

The article appears to give undue weight to Deflategate and the Dominos tweet in relation to the rest of his biography. – Muboshgu (talk) 04:14, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
