Update
editupdate on info on him place for the recent movie
Removed from article
editChris Tucker is never confused for Chris Rock, except for those who may not know anything about either one of them. they both have two distinct and seperate personas. change that last sentence promptly. Posted by 192.156.63.34 at 21:35, 14 Jun 2005
Well, the whole point of this entry is to help people who don't know anything about either one of them So I think it should stay, in order to help people find the person that they are looking for.
- Removed the link. I don't see what's similar about them, except that they are both American, black, and named "Chris": this is hardly any kind of similarity.
- By the way, 192.156.63.34, rather than anonymously ordering people to go and change pages, why don't you just go ahead and edit the page yourself? --Saforrest 00:03, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
- Both american, both black, both named Christ, both popular, both comedians, both movie actors.
If they aren't easily confused, why was the whole "George Bush hates midgets" thing accredited to Tucker, not Rock, before it was edited? DeusExMachina 08:59, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
Please remove the mug shot...there are plenty of decent photos available on the web that can be used for Chris Tucker.
I sometimes slip and say Chris Tucker instead of Chris Rock because of their first names but they do have fairly different comedic styles. By the way, does anyone have another picture of DT? Dinobrya 22 June 2006
I used to get them confused before Chris Rock became more popular and Tucker disappeared into obscurity. I can definitely tell them apart now because Tucker is annoying whereas Rock is actually funny. Plus he hasn't been hiding under a rock for years. Dankru 13:00, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
I think the easiest way to tell them apart is that Chris Tucker is actually funny where as Chris Rock is just a [personal attack removed]. 72.145.219.194 21:58, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
Look. There was an MTV Music Video Awards show back in the late '90s that CHRIS ROCK hosted. After a music performance, it cut to Chris Rock seated next to Chris Tucker and Chris Rock kept saying something along the lines of, "I am Chris Rock. [Pointing] This is Chris Tucker. We are not the same person." Both have also spoken in interviews about how people confuse them.
HERE'S A PERFECT EXAMPLE. THe Red Hot Chilli Peppers "Hump de Bump" video clip was directed by Chris ROCK, however on this page someone has stated it was directed by Chris Tucker. I haven't removed it yet, just making a point that a lot of people do confuse the two, as can be evidenced on this page itself.
I frequently confuse them. They look similiar, sound alike, and have the same first name,
The first time I saw an ad for Money Talks I though Chris Tucker was trying to rip off Chris Rock. I think that it is undoubtable to say they get cunfused for one another often. Dankru, I think Rock has been famous since the late 80s and tucker the mid 90s. I could be wrong though. Gopherbassist (talk) 07:04, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
California Love
editI may be wrong, but isn't Tucker at the beginning of the Tupac music video California Love?--Wassamatta 21:45, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Wassamatta
- Yes, he is in the beginning of the video.
- Yes he is, and it should be mentioned. I knew Chris Tucker from the Rush Hour series, and I knew the character of Ruby Rhod from the Fifth Element, but I had no idea it was Chris Tucker. I just saw a manlier Ruby Rhod in the videoclip :D--Kirochi
Phone number?
editThere is a phone number that it says Chris wants us to call on the page. I am going to remove it... what the heck???? Signed Scryer_360, the man to lazy to sign in to sign his posts. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.151.56.175 (talk) 02:29, 10 May 2007 (UTC).
Notability
editI think it should be noted that Chris Tucker is now depending on Rush Hour notability. It's clear from this article that he's only worked when Jackie Chan movies are avaialable recently. The big story is: What's Chris Tucker done over the last 10 years besides Rush Hour? Has he done stand-up comedy? That would definitely assist his notability...FoamParty 05:38, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Words cant express the POV' ness of that. --User:Atomic Religione
He's not doing any movies because no one will pay his price tag of 20 mil. He's probably been offered lots of roles, he just won't do it under a certain amount of money. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.105.34.224 (talk) 08:47, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Sexual orientation?
editIn an interview with Conan O' Brian on Conan's show, Tucker claims to be gay. Is this true? know he is not a gay —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.66.31.5 (talk) 14:19, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Missing movies
editTwo movies went missing ("Mr S: My life with Frank Sinatra" and "Untitled Chris Tucker Stand up Comedy film") in the "Filmography" section when I edited the name of one. Is this a coding error on my part(I did check the required coding and nothing seems wrong) or is it normal procedure and will they re-appear after being checked(Or something along those lines) a little later?
Cameroon?
editWhere is the source saying that he went to Cameroon? The African American Lives program only showed him visiting Angola. Badagnani 06:50, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Move to LA
editthe sentence beginning ' after graduation from---' is awkward and unclear.Toyokuni3 (talk) 15:59, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Last Friday and Rush Hour 4
editRemoved these 2 movies from his filmography, they have not been announced and there is no evidence to suggest they will ever be made.--Freikorp (talk) 13:16, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Hajj reference
editI removed the part where it says that Chris has performed Hajj this year.. The person in the interview is his double, not the real guy. you can confirm this by watching the clip and listening properly. What's with the awful photo?
editIt looks an awful lot like a mugshot. I was expecting, after seeing it, to see some kind of scandal. Sxp151 (talk) 04:58, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- It is a mugshot XD KMFDM FAN (talk) 23:05, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
If you have something better than by all means use it. However, it must be an actual picture you took. So good luck with that. :)Mcelite (talk) 00:12, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
I agree, the arrest is minor enough to not even warrant a mention in the article. There have to be a better photo to use. It seems inappropriate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by RedRing (talk • contribs) 20:27, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
New home in Florida
editOn regards to Tucker's home in Florida, I don't know if thats completely accurate. His Floridian home he owns in located in Alaqua Lakes, a very wealth gated community in Longwood, Florida. He may own two homes in Florida. Which could explain the Floridian house currently given in his article. I have proof he lives there through my friend in the community. Tucker's home is located next door on my friend's street. The home is under construction now but will be completed very soon by the looks of it. By the way, his house is beautiful! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Acidrain24 (talk • contribs) 15:04, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
His picture.
editIt's srsly his mugshot? Can't you people find a more flattering picture? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.41.51.179 (talk) 07:13, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

Arrest
editCorect me if I'm wrong, but the page doesn't show the incident leading to his arrest, which was him speeding to "get to church on time". 2605:E000:F443:2600:985B:6AD2:7E4D:5F42 (talk) 07:04, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
