KO over Munoz
editFight officially ruled KO, not TKO. http://www.sherdog.com/events/UFC-on-Fuel-TV-4-Munoz-vs-Weidman-21725 — Preceding unsigned comment added by NerdNinja9 (talk • contribs) 02:57, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
Descent
editI think his last name Weidman (Weidmann [vaitman]) is german or nethersaxon. Whos is he? 85.26.241.116 (talk) 08:04, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Runk kari
editThere stands "purple belt under Runk kari". Runkkari is finnish slang and means masturbator. I think this is only a bad joke. There is no BJJ black belt named Runk kari. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.226.65.94 (talk) 21:08, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
Picture
editThought this pic might be useful in the article, if someone wants to work it in.

Please change "the #5 pound-for-pound fighter by ESPN" to "the #3 pound-for-pound fighter by ESPN".

"Chris Weidman day" Nassau County
editThis edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
(in the UFC Middleweight Champion section) I thought this was just some kind of informal appraisal: " In honor of Weidman's victory, Nassau County proclaimed July seventeenth "Chris Weidman Day"."
So i checked it myself. and it's actually official. Perhaps it is better to link to a better citation in order to avoid any ambiguity with other readers (like me) in the future.

Title Controversy?
editShould it not at least be mentioned that some people consider the wins over Anderson Silva to be controversial due to the unusual nature of both victories? There doesn't need to be any sort of commentary about the legitimacy of the controversy, but I think acknowledgement would at least be in order. This seems to be common practice in articles about other fight-sports controversies, like the "Long Count" in the Jack Dempsey article or the "Phantom Punch" with Muhammad Ali. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Schuster1 (talk • contribs) 18:53, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think those things are really comparable. Silva obviously lost both fights. It could be argued it wasn't because of his skill (ie. first time he was screwing around, second time his leg broke), but it's perfectly clear there wasn't any kind of faking going on. If Silva wants to prove he is better, he has to clearly beat Weidman, and preferably more than once. Until he does anything like that, I don't think there is any controversy. 62.78.251.108 (talk) 12:00, 1 November 2014 (UTC)

Pay-per-view bouts?
editWhat is the purpose of the Pay-per-view bouts section? It's incomplete if it is meant to be PPV that Weidman has participated in.
It should either be all the events, events where Weidman was the Main event, or not be listed at all. Dstrange (talk) 01:30, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
