So the opening sentence said that Kane claims to be of Native American descent based on oral history, without any proof of it. The problem is, that isn't what the source attached actually said. It only quoted him as saying he is an "American Indian." And I can't find a single source that says the same thing, other than websites which appear to have taken their information from this page. Even in his reddit AMA, he never gives any more detail than he is of Cherokee descent. I found one article stating he is 1/8 Cherokee, but it's not a direct quote and the article is about a movie where an entirely different character says they are 1/8 Cherokee, so there's a potential for misunderstanding there.
I found a more reliable source (than eonline) and just stuck with a sentence that states what he states, without language that speculates on what evidence he has. If someone does find an actual source where he mentions that he bases his belief on a family oral tradition, I'd suggest changing it to reflect his own wording, regarding what evidence he has of his ancestry. I have the same concern. When you Google him, the first result is from Wikipedia and it says March 6th 1974. This is incorrect. It is June 27th 1972. I have tried to edit it myself but it was taken back out because the imbd source was not allowed. Facebook is less reliable than imbd, which is the legitimate actors and film site, but he has posts on social media about his birthday being in June 27th. So why is this not getting corrected?

Christian Kane has personally posted that June 27 is his birthdate many times in his verified social media so why does that continue to be deleted? Tisha.ann (talk) 20:27, 26 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
