Irrelevant details

edit

I have removed the material italicized below, inasmuch as its repeated insertion despite my having pointed out that it is excessive and irrelevant to burden this bio with so much detail about the life and career of de:Enrique Quintana Achával, one of Massy's ex-fathers-in-law (who has a German Wikipedia article of his own), yet no explanation is ever provided for its inclusion anywhere in the article. Unless reasons can be presented why information about Massy's deceased former father-in-law is justified (whether in the body of the article or in no fewer than three footnotes), and in the disproportionate detail supplied, it needs to stay out of the article:

'"He married María Marta Quintana y del Carril (b. London, 17 June 1951), daughter of Enrique Quintana y Achával (Ambassador of Argentina<footnote 1>Enrique Quintana y Achával was born on Aug. 31, 1917 in Washington, USA and died on Dec. 5, 2013 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was an Argentine diplomat. He fulfilled diplomatic functions as ambassador to Austria, Indonesia, Lebanon, Russia, Ivory Coast, Switzerland and Morocco, and being in Lebanon was concurrently Ambassador to Kuwait, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. He was also national director of the Argentine Foreign Ministry ceremonial for several governments.<end footnote 1><footnote 2>(in Spanish) Republic of Chile, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Historical General Archive{end footnote 2}<footnote 3>Enrique Quintana Achával Find a Grave #121592350)<end footnote 3> and his wife Marta Juana del Carril y Aldao (remarried to the 7th Duke of Tamames),<footnote 4>Genealogy (in Spanish)<end footnote 4> in Buenos Aires on 14 November 1970. Quintana Achával was Ambassador-in-residence and at-large. There is no sens to specify "Ambassador of Argentina" without any country of residence where he was appointed. And it is excessive in a way to precise IN THE BIO (of Christian Louis de Massy) "... to Austria, Indonesia, Lebanon, Russia, Ivory Coast, Switzerland, Morocco, Lebanon, Kuwait, etc.". That's why I decided to precise this information in a footnote. What I would suggest is a brief footnote drafted like this (without the two others footnotes) : "Enrique Quintana Achával was Ambassador-in-residence to Austria, Indonesia, Lebanon, Russia, Ivory Coast, Switzerland and Morocco, and Ambassador-at-large to Lebanon, Kuwait, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia." until an English Wikipedia article for this person becomes searchable... 86.69.180.77 (talk) 16:13, 27 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
No one reading this article expects to find out anything about the career pf one of Massy's ex-fathers-in-law, let alone to be told in which countries the ex-father-in-law has worked. At most he should be described as a "former Argentine ambassador" -- or as nothing at all. FactStraight (talk) 05:20, 28 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
ok ! so you should logically remove also the birth and death dates of "one of his ex-fathers-in-law" (as you say) and the adjective "former", inappropriate by talking about a deceased person, and keep "Argentine ambassador" (meaning a status and not a current ambassador) I guess. 86.69.180.77 (talk) 10:24, 28 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
