Bicycle or tricycle?
editAny documentation he rode a tricyle to the retirement home? The article cited says 'bicycle.' Lolwikiments (talk) 18:42, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
- Somebody made that change without an explanation, IIRC. If the source says "bicycle," I think that you could change it back. If somebody has a better source for "tricycle," they should cite it.--Hjal (talk) 06:07, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Sexual Orientation
editShould it be noted, that many people had believed Mortensen was a homosexual. Do to the fact that he was married for a couple years, and never had children. He also said that he was "not interested in women".Mjjd226 (talk) 01:32, 22 February 2013 (UTC)
- Who cares? Jersey John (talk) 17:27, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
- I agree with you, Jersey John. Even if Mr. Mortensen were still alive, it really wouldn't be anyone's concern but his anyway. Seanette (talk) 18:45, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
- This has become a PC issue in this article - unfortunately. His sexuality is of interest because it may have a bearing on his longevity. 86.187.169.43 (talk) 12:29, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
Catholic or Protestant
editI noticed he is tagged as being both an American Protestant and an American Catholic. He could have been raised one and become another, but as a Catholic, I'm pretty sure you can't be both :) 98.94.103.2 (talk) 03:15, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
Image
editCan we please remove the drawing of him being used as his picture? In my opinion it's better to have nothing than that.--Dorglorg (talk) 21:32, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
Boiled water
editMortensen stated he drank boiled water and cited this as one of the ways to live a long life. This should be investigated. 86.187.169.43 (talk) 12:32, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
Useful information?
editRecent edit: (Mortensen was visited by James Vaupel and other longevity researchers on the occasion of his 113th birthday. He was particularly pleased with a box of Danish cigars that the researchers had brought him.) Necessary or not? MattSucci (talk) 04:58, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
