Review
editHello. I'll be reviewing this article in the next few days and probably conclude by the end of the weekend. Sorry that this article has waited so much. Thanks for writing it—stay tuned! ComputerJA (talk) 06:46, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

- Initial comments
Hi, I did some copyediting myself as I read along. Please check if I accidentally made any mistakes, and feel free to disagree with any of my changes. Below are some of my concerns that I couldn't figure out on my own. Thanks. ComputerJA (talk) 02:06, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- The related term Christianization of Poland (Polish: chrystianizacja Polski) is also used on occasion to denote this event, although it has also a wider meaning, referring to the subsequent spread of Christianity throughout Poland – Is this information mentioned in the sections? The Christianization of Poland is mentioned in the background section but there are no references to its wider meaning, as mentioned in the intro.
- You are right, it's not. I usually prefer for lead sections to avoid having unique information, but in such cases (discussion of alt names) I think it is permissible. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:56, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- became established only around the 12th century – This implies that Christianity was only present in Pomerania for that century. Please change/remove the word 'only'.
- I hope this is better? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:56, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- The preparations for the begun with the Great Novena of 1957, which marked a nine years period of fast and prayer – The sentence does not sound right. I think it is missing something after "for the".
- Yes, added "millennial celebrations". --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:56, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- The baptismal mission began in the two major cities of Gniezno and Poznań, and then spread throughout the country – When was this? Does the source give an approximate date?
- Nothing more precise than the date 966 for the baptism of Mieszko and his court. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:56, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- Native clergy took three or four generations to emerge – Was this in Pomerania or in Poland in general?
- the Party was framing the celebrations as a secular – What is the Party? Is it the communist state?
- Yes, added link. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:56, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- Sources review
Here are my concerns regarding the sources, thanks. ComputerJA (talk) 02:26, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- After reading source 1, I think it is important to add Miezsko’s son Bolesław I Chrobry on the article. It does not have to be an extensive mention; what the source says about him is fine. Thanks.
- After reading source 2, adding on how Dobrawa of Bohemia ordered the creation of some churches would be good, too. Preferably after "significant role in promoting Christianity in Poland [by … ]"
- Should be more clear now. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:56, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
