Find correct name
The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere.
The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.
Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

Liz, all of the images in this article, which include both personal family photos and professional quality glamour shots, have been claimed as own work by the article's sole significant contributor. signed, Rosguilltalk19:19, 6 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
The subject himself seems to pass WP:NBIO. The OBE and Ordem do Infante D. Henrique both seem to be confirmed by apparently reliable sources. Less certain about the "Medal of Cultural Merit" (though no reason to doubt it – cn tag added for good housekeeping). True that a thorough copyedit would be in order. Also true that the photos were all uploaded to Commons by the same editor (they are also poorly named and mostly uncategorised), however this seems like something to flag on Commons rather than a criteria for draftifying/deleting the article itself. Also, should a COI tag be added in the place of (or in addition to) the Peacock tag, or is that too aggressive at this stage? -- Cl3phact0 (talk) 11:14, 7 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

The wording "he was decorated by the late Queen Elizabeth II" implies that HRH personally bestowed the award, which seems unlikely for an OBE (there are heaps of OBEs). More likely for a DBE or KBE, though even then, only in very specific instances. (I don't mean to belittle the award itself, which is of course an honour if one subscribes to such things.) -- Cl3phact0 (talk) 20:45, 7 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
