Article development

edit

After saving this comment, I will save some edits to the article. At the time of saving this comment, the text of the article is verbatim the entry in the Dictionary of National Biography. I will create a citation for this, and place inline citations at the end of each paragraph and stand-alone sentence. That way, if the article is ever developed, it will be easier to keep track of which portions of text are attributable to DNB. My suggestion to anyone who develops this article is that prior to breaking up the text, simply copy-and-paste the <ref name=DicNatBiogHeath/> template next to the portion or portions of text that will be unchanged. That's a lot easier than someone coming to a fully developed article after the fact and trying to work out which bits of text were attributable to the DNB. The same issue applies to articles which are copies of text from Encyclopædia Britannica Eleventh Edition, and I have commented on this problem. The best solution is to get inline citations into the text at the outset. Wotnow (talk) 22:38, 22 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
