Isherwood's book is a retelling of his homosexual experiences with young boys during his time in Weimar Berlin. It is stated as fact from many other homosexuals that were there, witnessed and wrote about it. He went there specifically because he COULD pay to have sex with young boys...some from those "poor, dilapidated neighborhood" parents who would rent their young boys to him for money. One in particular, so Isherwood could "rent" the second room in the house! The young BOYS room, where he lay with him. He was a depraved, disgusting, evil child molesting homosexual...and the truth should be told in his bio. Not some toned down version to make it look like he was just some downtrodden, scared, oppressed gay man running from Hitler.
