Premium Fuel
editIt is often cited (eg, in consumer reports) that the "turbo engine" needs premium fuel. But the car is listed with 2 "turbo" engines with the same size and different horsepower. While the increase in base gas prices places premium closer to regular, it may still be prudent for someone familiar with the subject to add which engines are reccomended for higher octane fuel, and if any are rated for lower octane fuel. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.229.181.173 (talk) 05:00, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- From the owners' manual for a 2007 model, for the 2.4L High Output Turbo Engine: "The use of high quality unleaded gasoline having an octane rating of 91 is recommended but not required. High quality unleaded gasoline having a minumum octane rating of 87 may safely be used for your vehicle. Use of these lower octane gasolines, however, may result in reduced acceleration performance."
- For the 2.4L Standard Engine and 2.4L Standard Turbo Engine: "Your vehicle is designed to meet all emission regulations and provide excellent fuel economy when using high quality regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87. The use of premium gasoline is not recommended."

Armored PT Cruiser?
editWhoever wrote this doesn't really realize what an armored vehicle is. It's a complete hoax but I'll follow the rules and ask for citations. BadaBoom (talk) 13:30, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
GT specs
editI added a reference for the GT horsepower ratings, and the model year transition. This is the best source I've been able to locate. If anyone has a more authoritative source for the turbo engine specs., please chime in. Hackercraft (talk) 17:05, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

Is there some criticism towards the headlights
editI wonder if some car journalist mentioned this little detail back in the days of production.
The thesis is... The headlights of PT Cruiser looks like some funny windgs for a book for children. Cartoon wings. Which, IMO, dissonate - not just contrast - with the general aesthetics of a "modern retro" car/a 2000s panel truck/etc.
Alternative opinion I am looking for: had this car been designed with classic-themed "circles" for headlights, this car would have looked like a proper retromobile... 81.89.66.133 (talk) 07:32, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
