I'm planning to expand the history section of this article and also include a 'Recreation' section: (Econ River, Florida Trail, Little-Big Econ SF, etc.) If anyone has documented history sources and wants to help in the effort, please let me know. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Canglesea (talk • contribs) 20:38, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Pronunciation
editChuluota is very commonly mispronounced as shown in this article. Apparently, no one has ever questioned the fact that there are no vowels that would provide the "ee" sound suggested in the article and used by most residents of central Florida, thanks to the television news media.
The proper pronunciation according to the Creek language would be "Chool-yo-tah" "U" is pronounced "oo", the combination of "uo" is pronounced "yo" and the "a" would be pronounced as "ah". When said quickly, its pronunciation could be mistaken for the mispronunciation given in the article, but let's not continue to propagate this error by showing the wrong pronunciation.
