It would be interesting if you discussed the adaptations of the water hemlock that allows it to live in such wet environments. For example, maybe you could discuss the structure of the roots.
I am not sure if this is possible on Wikipedia, but I noticed that your scientific name “Cicuta douglassi” is not italicized. Refer to your textbook for more information.
I know that you described this plant as degenerative. But, you did not say if all the animals that eat this plant eventually die. You ay want to make this point a little clearer.
I am also curious to know about how many animals are affected by these plants. Is it fairly common, or very uncommon?
Some statistical information would help your article sound more informative.
Grammatically, your paper sounds great!
Overall, I really enjoyed reading your article. I believe that it is well written and very informative.
I also enjoyed your article. I think it would be greatly improved by a photo of the plant, especially because it is so toxic, I would like to have a visual on what to avoid!! You stated the plant has an appealing odor, you may want to be more specific...what kind of odor? What does it smell like? Also, you stated humans do not have much reaction time if affected by the plant, but what span of times do the grazing animals have?? Great article though! It flows very nicely! You really did your homework.
Thank you very much for the comments and suggestions. All of suggestions were good, and I tried to incorporate all of them. A couple of the recommendations I could not find in any of the sources I looked at. Thanks again for the help!
Merge
editI oppose the proposal to merge this article, Cicuta douglasii, with Cicuta since that article is about the genus of 4 species and this article is about one of those species. I am removing the tag since it has on there without action or discussion for an extended period of time. RJFJR (talk) 14:29, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
