editHow much detail re: SUV incident?
editHow much detail should be included about the SUV incident? This is an article about the Cider Riot business, after all. ---Another Believer (Talk) 04:58, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Llywrch: Any thoughts? I recall us briefly discussing this article in the past, perhaps on one of our user talk pages. Thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:08, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- Since you asked... I definitely wouldn't add more detail. While I'll admit that I'm suspicious that an antifa activist was killed near Cider Riot -- could miscreants be targeting this business? -- no one has proven any solid connection between the two. Then again, if another attack on an antifa activist happens nearby IMHO it doesn't violate WP:NOR to mention that one, & let the reader draw their own conclusion. -- llywrch (talk) 20:50, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- Llywrch, Thanks. So are you comfortable with the current text or should some details be removed? I'm not sure how his "aliases" or alma mater are relevant. ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:56, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- Another Believer, I almost wrote that I thought there might be too much attention to this death, but after all it is a single paragraph of average size. I'll leave it to you to decide. -- llywrch (talk) 20:58, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- The deceased's aliases are entirely irrelevant to the article, IMHO. Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 22:00, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- Grand'mere Eugene, I agree. I've removed one sentence, and do share if you have any other thoughts on the rest of the paragraph. Thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:02, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- Another Believer, The first two sentences and the sentence on Willamette Week's report tell pretty much the relevant facts for an encyclopedia. The rest qualifies as WP:UNDUE, unless the bar owner is a suspect. Again, in my opinion. Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 22:31, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- Grand'mere Eugene, Thanks. I've trimmed a bit more. Open to others' edits as well. ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:35, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
