editIt's probably quite fair to say the cigar boom was at least partially caused by the increased awareness of diseases related to cigarette smoking. Should this be mentioned?
- I haven't seen this mentioned in a single source anywhere. Lew Rothman attributes the boom to an aging population and the emergence of Cigar Aficionado... Carrite (talk) 21:13, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
Pop Culture Impact on cigar sales
editPopular movie culture played a big role in the perception and increased consumer interest in cigars. Movies such as Risky Business, Predator, The Grifters, Scarface, Cape Fear, and Wall Street, just to name a few.
