editSteve54b (talk · contribs) placed this comment in the History section. (There is a reference to this at the link http://www.tuscany-wine.com/grape_varieties.htm. There are no citations there to verify the accuracy of their information.) In relation to the statement

which currently doesn't have a citation. Any thoughts on how to improve this section with reliable referencing? AgneCheese/Wine 07:41, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Most claims/legends regarding grape varieties' origin actually rest on very thin evidence. I tried to tone down the statement by tying it in to the recent genetic studies. Tomas e (talk) 19:04, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
