PROD
editThis page was proposed for deletion by Mr. Guye (talk · contribs) on 12 June 2014 with the comment: Proposing article for deletion per WP:PROD It was contested by DGG (talk · contribs) on 13 June 2014 with the comment: considering her role in a Gidget followup... there are probably reviews. Refs Need to be looked for, not the article deleted |
Disclosure: I am the creator of this article (but not the contestor of the PROD).
And thanks for the heads-up by the nom [1] which provided a rationale Sole attribution is to IMDb (and IMO Twinkle should have added the rationale to the article edit summary rather than just saying that it was a PROD, and/or placed it on this talk page - I'm not a Twinkle user myself so don't know what options it offers).
Agree totally that it needs more refs, but frankly the PROD was ridiculous... just starring in one cult movie is sufficient notability, surely? Also agree that WP:BLP is relevant, but there's absolutely no threat to the subject posed by this article. It's certainly neither contentious nor libelous or harmful.
I'm a bit surprised and disappointed that the article has not been expanded and refs added, but there you are.
If our policies on WP:PROD or WP:BLP suggest that this article should be deleted, then they need tweaking. But I think a more careful reading of them will produce a clear keep. It's a good stub and needs expansion, exactly as the contestor pointed out. Andrewa (talk) 18:28, 13 June 2014 (UTC)
