"Citharede"
editThe Google ngram-viewer gives no examples of "citharede" or "citharoede" in either British or American books, but only "citharode". In the past "citharist" was the usual form, but nowadays "citharode' and "citharist" seem about equal. Certainly the spelling "citharede" is sometimes found on the internet (also "citharoede" sometimes, but very rarely), but I wonder if it wouldn't be better to change the name of this article to the more usual form, i.e. citharode. - These language issues trouble me with a couple articles similarly. The article mandola is about a modern instrument, and also the name of an older variant of the instrument. I put that variant under the article mandore (instrument), its French name--but its Italian version mandola is the one everyone that speaks English means as the ancestor of the mandolin. If a form is more common, I say change it to that, if you can keep any variations straight. Sometimes I want to merge mandola and mandore (instrument), and make the modern instrument a section at the bottom of the article. Good luck!Jacqke (talk) 01:00, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
- Since this article has no sources, all of its information is changeable to fit a reliable source.Jacqke (talk) 01:06, 30 June 2018 (UTC)

Citharede → Citharode – The spelling "Citharede" is not found on Google ngrams, but Citharode is found, as well as "Citharist" (see discussion above). At present the move can't be made since "Citharode" is a redirect page, redirecting to Citharede. Kanjuzi (talk) 05:46, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support. The name should be one "commonly recognizable". A search for citharode brings up Oxford and Merriam-Webster, which could be cited for sources. A search for citharede brings up gaming sites, not high quality sources.Jacqke (talk) 09:48, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
