Name of the article
editI think the article name should be changed. Several possible options I'm not sure which is best.
A Clacton in the 2024 United Kingdom general election (current)
B 2024 United Kingdom general election in Clacton
C 2024 Clacton election
Potentially other options.
I think B is probably the best? TheLoyalOrder (talk) 23:23, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- D 2024 Clacton constituency election - another option TheLoyalOrder (talk) 23:28, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- A is fine for me, unless someone is planning to change every article or redirect in Category:Constituency contests in United Kingdom general elections. People are likely to be looking for articles about Clacton, rather than "2024". Sionk (talk) 09:56, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
- Ok if A is already standard than no change needed, I just think it sounds a bit clunky TheLoyalOrder (talk) 00:01, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
- A seems okay of those. B would put Clacton on the same level as Scotland which seems a bit odd, while C (and to some extent D) would pave way for "2024 Welsh election", "2024 Scottish election". In the end, this is a local election part of a larger one. Prefer A as it sets some sort of hierarchy on the sub-articles. DankJae 11:21, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
