too many tangents in the lede
editHi @Theodore Christopher, I saw that you re-intruced some stuff into the lede after I had trimmed it. Using footnotes in ledes is not done according to WP:MOS. Also, writing about the future of the abbey (or even current construction) is not fitting for a lede about such an ancient abbey. It is not the most relevant information. It should, however, be mentioned in the body of the article. -- Melchior2006 (talk) 20:40, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
- If this article was befitting of Clairvaux's long history, I might agree with you--however, considering that this page is quite unsophisticated, and that the prison was just shut down, I find it appropriate to put some information about the abbey's future in the lede. There isn't that much information on what's actually happening with it, so I'm keeping it intentionally nebulous. Theodore Christopher (talk) 21:11, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
- FYI, I just tweaked it a little more from what I had written earlier. Let me know what you think. Theodore Christopher (talk) 21:13, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
