I have just stumbled across this page after reading the page on the Walter Reed Medal. Does anyone know why Clara Maass did not receive one as she would appear to be a perfect candidate? (PS. This is my first venture into editing Wikopedia pages, so apologies if I do something wrong.) NeoPreModernMan (talk) 16:28, 14 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Welcome NPMM! I'm not sure exactly, but looking at the page for the Walter Reed Medal, it looks like it was given only to the physicians, not the "test subjects". Maybe somebody at the Medal page would know more about that. BrainyBroad (talk) 15:12, 17 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

There is no citation for the claim that public outcry at her death lead to the end of the use of humans as experimental subjects in Yellow Fever studies. I can find no evidence of it.
